This is a re-post because I mixed up the shutter speed originally. Tali Lekorenos

  1. I love your choice of subject -- it's interesting to see so many tacks in motion at the same time, all caught at different moments in their fall. I think the shutter speed and timing worked out perfectly on the first shot. And I love that you captured the shadows of the tacks becoming blurred too in the second photo, not just the tacks themselves.

  2. i super like the effect of the first photo! The focus was adjusted almost perfect, that together with such shutter speed there is almost a 3D-ish or cartoon-ish effect. And it is truly in great contrast with the second shutter speed.

  3. I must say that I am also pretty impressed with the focus you obtained in that first photo. I would be interested to know if you did anything in particular to achieve it. I also really like the colors in both photographs, with the variety of tacks as well as the pink shirt that the person in the background was wearing. We haven't talked much about color yet, but I think you used it really well. I also must say that this post makes much more sense than your first post, and is a far better example.
